The American Chamber of Commerce - Qatar (AmCham Qatar) is proud to announce that it will assume the Chairmanship of the American Chambers of Commerce in the Middle East and North Africa (AmCham MENA) Regional Council, marking an important milestone in its commitment to advancing regional collaboration and strengthening U.S commercial ties.
Under the leadership term of AmCham Dubai (2024-2026), the Council strengthened its role as a platform for regional dialogue, economic insight, and cross-border business engagement. The Council convened its 12th Annual Regional Conference in Dubai in April 2024, bringing together senior business leaders and policymakers to address regional cooperation, trade, geopolitical and economic challenges, and emerging opportunities. The 13th Annual Regional Conference, also hosted in Dubai in December 2025, on the margins of AmCham Dubai’s 40th Anniversary, and under the theme “One Region, One Voice,” continued this dialogue, focusing on regional growth, resilience, collaboration, and opportunities across key sectors.
The Council expanded its engagement beyond its annual conferences through virtual sessions examining the MENA economic and investment outlook and evolving geopolitical landscape. Most recently, a Pan-MENA briefing on the outlook for 2026 and beyond brought members together to discuss geopolitical and economic megatrends, global growth prospects, financial risks, energy prices, and shifting patterns of global competition.
Additionally, the Council further strengthened its presence in the region’s innovation ecosystem through its participation in Web Summit Qatar 2026. In collaboration with AmCham Egypt and AmCham Qatar, AmCham MENA led a delegation of high-potential startups from Egypt and the United States, connecting them with global investors, technology leaders, policy-makers, and potential partners, while advancing initiatives in artificial intelligence, fintech, digital skills, and corporate innovation.
As it assumes this leadership role, AmCham Qatar extends its sincere appreciation to AmCham Dubai for its exceptional leadership, dedication, and service as the outgoing Chair of the Regional Council. AmCham Qatar looks forward to working closely with AmCham Oman, the incoming Vice-Chair of the Council, and AmCham Egypt, the Council's Permanent Secretariat to further the Council's mission and deepen engagement across the region.
At a time when cross-border partnerships and economic cooperation have never been more important, AmCham Qatar is committed to fostering stronger connections among member AmChams, facilitating meaningful dialogue on regional business priorities, and championing initiatives that drive innovation, investment, and sustainable economic growth.
AmCham MENA represents one of the most influential networks connecting U.S. businesses and regional stakeholders across the MENA region. AmCham Qatar is honored to assume the Chairmanship and build upon the strong foundation established by our predecessors. AmChams across the region will continue creating opportunities for collaboration, strengthening commerce and investment, and supporting the region.
A key highlight of AmCham Qatar's term will be hosting the 14th Annual AmCham MENA Regional Conference in Doha in 2027. The Conference will bring together senior business executives, policy-makers, industry leaders, and AmCham representatives and members from across the region and U.S. to explore emerging opportunities, address shared challenges, and advance economic cooperation between the United States and MENA markets.
As Chair, AmCham Qatar looks forward to helping shape a dynamic and inclusive agenda that reflects the evolving priorities of the regional business community while reinforcing the Council's role as a trusted platform for dialogue, advocacy, and partnership.
